Polish kitchen on the edge of Wielkopolska National Park
Poznańska 30, Wiórek · 10 minutes from Poznań
Stara Osada
The restaurant opened in December 2021 in Wiórek, a few kilometres past Poznań's Starołęka district, where the city ends and the forest and the Warta river begin.
The interior is timeless and classic, a nod to the Wiórek of years gone by. Dozens of old photographs of the village and its people hang on the walls, and there are candles and fresh flowers on the tables. In summer we open our spacious garden with a covered shelter, tables and umbrellas.
The kitchen is run by Bartek Muzalewski, a meat specialist and culinary competition judge. The menu is short and Polish: Wielkopolska beef, homemade broth, duck, pierogi and the traditional breaded pork chop, with a few dishes from further afield.
